30 days, 30 films, 30 thoughts and feelings each from Hillary Carrigan and Brandon Raciti who share a film a day everyday of

a lesson in forgiveness

a practice in no (self)censorship, creating without extensive planning, moving past perfectionism towards instincts and out of discipline.

Brandon Raciti and I ate dumplings together one night in March. He suggested something he learned of thanks to a write-up on bandcamp for the Japanese Breakfast album, “June.”
Michelle Zauner and Rachel Gagliardi were feeling stuck creatively and were also eating dumplings. They agreed to record and post one song every day for the month of June (read about it here). So did we.

Brandon and I agreed that for the month of April every single day we would show up… ideating, writing, filming, experimenting, editing and uploading. Zauner shared that, “instead of sitting down and creating a list of rules… [she] just had the pressure of needing to have a finished product by the end of the day to motivate [her]… The most important part of the blog was learning how to practice forgiveness.”

Below you can find a few of the films I created, links to our blog and a link to Brandon’s vimeo so you can explore what he created as well.
I hope this inspires someone to listen to Japanese Breakfast, eat dumplings, and give it a go.
